If temperatures are expected to be above 70 degrees during your package’s transit, we strongly recommend selecting Expedited shipping, which includes a complimentary cold pack. You can check current conditions through the National Weather Service, your local forecast or you can check this map.

During the spring and summer months, all orders containing chocolate or cheese are automatically reviewed by our temperature adaptive shipping system. It checks the forecast in Empire, Michigan and at your delivery destination to determine whether warm weather protection is needed.

If temperatures exceed our melting threshold, expedited shipping is required for an additional fee to protect product quality. Reusable cold packs are included at no extra charge.

When conditions are favorable, the system will automatically remove the warm weather requirement, so you are not paying for services you do not need.
